Orchid AM, Associazione Shape, DumBO, Eventeria and Vertigo Bologna present 𝗧𝗢𝗬 𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗝𝗔𝗠 𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗡𝗔.
An artistic residency of the Berlin-based crew at DumBO Bologna that will result in memorable sound experiments.

Kick off on 7 December with the funky vibes of boss 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗘, the irresistible bass of Romagnola’s 𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗛𝗜, and the four-to-the-floor groove of 𝗖𝗢𝗘𝗢.

The electronic waves of 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗢 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 fill out the evening.

German DJ Producer duo Coeo are making a serious impact at the
moment, and rightly so. In 2014 they had several releases on established labels such as Gomma’s sub ‘Toy Tonics’ or New York’s ‘Let’s Play House Records’. Their passion for four-to-the-floor grooves and detailed arrangements was bound to demand people’s attention and their tracks have been featured heavily on mixes of artists like Purple Disco Machine, Todd Edwards & many more. Their originals have had high profile remixers such as James Welsh, Steve Huerta & The Revenge (just to name a few) tackle their arrangements.
The duo itself consists of Florian Vietz and Andreas Höpfl, 2 guys,
who met during high school and shared a mutual love for Hip Hop and Soul music. Some years later they fell in love with House music and spent more and more nights Djing in bars & clubs of their hometown Munich. The duo’s name, ‘Coeo’, is a latin expression, which comes up with a deeper meaning: Though hard to pronounce, it can be translated as “to unite“ or “to form an alliance“ and makes absolute sense for a DJ Duo who’s aim is to bring people together on the dancefloor. Artists like Boys Noize, Laurent Garnier, Kasper Bjorke, Jimpster or Tensnake have showed support for their productions & Traxsource listed them as in the top ten Deep House artists of 2014. You’ll be hearing a lot more from this duo in the years to come.

𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗘
The Toy Tonics label boss has a long history of producing dance music, being a DJ and one of the leading figures in the Berlin dance scene. Before starting Toy Tonics he produced singles and albums for people like Peaches, James Murphy & Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem), Bobby Conn, Graffiti legend The Rammellzee, WhoMadeWho and many others. To create a new form of label universe for the upcoming forms of house and disco (not techno, trance or EDM that’s the opposite vibe) he started Toy Tonics with 2 friends. With Toy Tonics Kapote created a label family with all kind of musicians, keyboarders and drummers who also are DJs and record collectors, that stand for a very strong own funky musical vibe. As a DJ, he normally plays only at Toy Tonics Jams but can be requested for special solo gigs too.
Kapote aka Mathias Modica, who some might also know from his former label Gomma records, where he produced under the name of Munk, plays a wild mix of funk orientated music. From rare disco edits and Italian disco to modern quality house and futuristic bro ken beat and funky new wave. And of course, he plays a lot of Toy Tonics records. It’s always euphoria.

𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗛𝗜
Fashion as a profession, music as a calling. Born and raised in Romagna, a land notoriously associated to the birth of the Italian club culture, she starts collecting records at the age of 20, while being a constant festivals/clubs/concerts/dancefloors goer.
Not even one year after her debut on the decks, her name is regularly included in Toy Tonics jams and renowned festival lineups like Polifonic and Nameless, allowing her to spread her warm sound and captivating bass lines throughout Europe. Her selection of disco / funk / house music resonates in the main Milanese clubs on a regular basis, as well as accompanying the events of the most high-end fashion brands like Fendi, Dior and Cavalli.

Without limits or preclusions, Enki, Ugo & Simone, for twelve years members of the Beyond Common Ideas crew, range from classic house and sounds made in the ’90s to the latest wave, making the accurate selection of each record their only credo.
